Rabbi Heshi Kuhnreich is the director of The Chai Centre in Toronto Canada. Rabbi Heshi has been teaching Torah values for over 30 years to Jews of all backgrounds, from a regular Yeshiva atmosphere, a girls seminary, Jewish teenagers in the public school system and everything in between. In 2003, he became involved with helping addicts and alcoholics and continues to spend to spend many hours daily helping addicts from all kinds of addiction find recovery. Rabbi Heshi led an international phone meeting called "Torah and the 12 Steps of Recovery" for many years and continues to lead weekly meetings on bridging the gap between Torah, Judaism and the addiction recovery community. The goal of The Chai Centre is to promote the beauty of Judaism to Jews that are unaffiliated or to those that have or may be going astray as well as to those from a strong religious background.
